Taught gifted students ELA and social studies, using Common Core strategies and GATE depth and complexity icons to build critical thinking. Created an integrated, theme-based language arts program and supported student leadership and mentoring (including Vex Robotix) while using 1:1 iPads and computers.

Oversaw a group of 10th-grade students and supported philanthropy projects in line with the organization’s goals. Completed paperwork and financials in accordance with the organization’s requirements.

Led small-group reading and math interventions using active learning strategies to support reading fluency, comprehension, and math. Differentiated instruction and collaborated with general and special education teachers to set goals for testing and instruction.

Implemented and designed K-6 lessons emphasizing lecture, demonstration, and discussion while reinforcing social standards of behavior. Wrote reports to classroom teachers about student accomplishments and behaviors.

Managed the library program, including collection maintenance, inventory, ordering, and replacing books and materials. Completed clerical data tasks (data input and importing/exporting), supported Reading Counts, and assisted students and teachers with library resources.

Led PTA operations, including running meetings, organizing parent volunteers, and coordinating with PTA board members. Created and balanced the PTA budget, wrote and submitted a SEEDS grant (awarded $5,000), revised PTA bylaws, and created a PTA blog to communicate with parents.

Led a Girl Scout Daisy troop for girls ages 5–7 and implemented a program consistent with Girl Scout guidelines. Organized field trips and in-class lessons focused on respect and community service.

Tutored students in Math, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, and English from kindergarten through tenth grade. Created targeted individualized enrichment and remedial lesson plans and evaluated students’ academic needs.

Earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Literature.
