Wade Vencencie

At Funda Wande, I lead finance and operations for a non-profit improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for South African primary school learners. As an Exco member, I shape financial and operational frameworks, budgets, controls, risk management, and organisational sustainability.

I achieved a clean external audit with no material findings, implemented a new procurement policy that reduced the per-unit cost of maths kits, and led a new chart of accounts to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency. I also lead a six-person Finance and Operations team and oversee vendor relationships, IT, assets, logistics, and information management.

Previously at Stellenbosch University, I managed Debt Collection for Student Finance, supervised a team of four, and served as Acting Head of the Centre for Undergraduate Bursaries and Loans. I developed budgets, financial models, internal controls, audit documentation, and reporting to support sustainable bursary funding and informed institutional decisions.

My earlier work at Maitland Group and Engen Petroleum included strategic financial analysis, business planning, capital budgeting, hedge accounting, risk analysis, forecasting, credit reporting, and MIS development. As a SAICA-registered Chartered Accountant, I bring practical financial governance and operational leadership to executive and board-level decision-making.
