Vincenzo Altomare
@vincenzoaltomare
Research Fellow specializing in Federated Learning and Machine Learning.
What I'm looking for
As a Research Fellow at the University of Calabria, I focus on Federated Learning, particularly addressing Non-IID data challenges and client selection strategies. My research involves working with image datasets, including MRI and classical datasets like CIFAR-10 and MNIST. I developed a novel aggregation strategy, CSDA, which I presented at the 2024 IEEE International Conference on Big Data.
In addition to my research, I have moderated a special session on Federated Learning at the IEEE Big Data 2024 Conference in Washington, DC. My publication on Client Specific Dynamic Aggregation for Non-IID Federated Learning highlights my commitment to enhancing the robustness and performance of global models through innovative strategies.
With a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, I have a solid foundation in machine learning, deep learning, and big data frameworks. My academic journey has equipped me with the skills necessary to tackle complex problems in the field of AI.
