Victor Fernandez Vazquez
@victorfernandezvazqu
I’m a senior software engineer specializing in scalable microservices and real-time telemetry.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Software Engineer with over 4 years of experience at Webfleet Solutions, progressing from Intern to Senior Engineer. I’ve focused on designing scalable microservices and building event-driven systems for real-time OEM telemetry data.
I take ownership from architecture to production: designing microservices, defining DB schemas (Oracle/Postgres), and ensuring reliable delivery through robust testing and monitoring. I’ve worked on high-volume telemetry systems that integrate data from multiple OEMs into a fleet management platform.
My core technical strengths are Java/Spring Boot and event-driven architectures using Kafka and Amazon SQS. I also bring strong DevOps practices, working with Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Rancher) across Azure and AWS.
I enjoy leading technical discovery and providing architectural guidance across cross-functional teams. In my current role, I spearhead client onboarding research, unify redundant components across teams, and guide infrastructure and system design decisions to meet evolving B2B market demands.
Experience
Work history, roles, and key accomplishments
Led discovery and technical research for new client onboardings, defining architectural requirements and implementation roadmaps. Provided architectural guidance across shared core libraries and unified redundant components across teams to accelerate delivery and reduce maintenance overhead.
Designed and implemented microservices for B2B telemetry, integrating OEM data into an internal fleet management platform and supporting real-time vehicle data processing. Owned the full lifecycle of Java 21/Spring Boot microservices and improved testing, monitoring, and load testing using TDD and observability tooling.
Built real-time data transport and integration strategies from external manufacturers into internal systems using messaging and RPC technologies. Orchestrated CI/CD and cloud deployments on Azure and AWS with Kubernetes, applying GitOps practices via ArgoCD and Rancher.
Collaborated with teams to enhance internal monitoring tools by developing anomaly detection logic for manufacturer telemetry quality. Identified issues such as latency and out-of-order delivery in real-time data.
