Venus Vercie

I am an ESL teacher currently serving in the government sector while pursuing a Master's in TESL at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. I hold a Bachelor in TESL (Hons) with a 3.78 CGPA and consistent placement on the Dean's List.

I am proficient in translating between Mandarin, English, and Malay, and I achieved HSK Band 5 in Mandarin as well as APTIS C1 in English. I also have conversational Cantonese and advanced written and spoken Malay competency.

I demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, discipline, and responsibility, and I take a keen interest in the broader applications of English—particularly translation, AI training, and cross-cultural studies. I apply a pragmatic, student-centered approach to teaching and language work.

I am open to part-time teaching or translation opportunities and am available for further discussion about roles that combine TESL practice, multilingual translation, or language-related AI training projects.
