Vasiliy Rudometkin

I’m a Staff Search Software Engineer with 10+ years of experience in distributed systems, search, and backend engineering. At Grid Dynamics, I architected and delivered multi-client search and recommendation systems integrating LLMs for query expansion and semantic understanding, and I implemented semantic and reranking systems using Solr/ElasticSearch with ML to improve search relevancy. I also build visual navigation and analytics dashboards to support experimentation and continuous search tuning.

I design and operate cloud-native, high-reliability services—handling 400k+ RPS, improving latency and backend efficiency, and maintaining 99.99% uptime for mission-critical workloads. Previously, as a Team Lead at MTS, I led Search (geolocation search) and Automotive IoT platforms, modernized data storage (ArangoDB to PostgreSQL), and scaled IoT from 30K to 1M+ devices; earlier at ALFA Bank, I helped migrate monoliths to microservices and delivered OpenAPI integrations serving 10M+ users. I’m motivated by cross-functional architecture alignment and by mentoring engineers to scale technical excellence across teams.
