Senior Software Engineer at DIRECTV who rewrote the Android TV rules engine, retiring over 18,000 lines of legacy rendering code.

Message

At DIRECTV, I develop the Android TV launcher for Gemini and Gemini Air. I rewrote the rules engine behind action buttons across content pages, replacing fragmented legacy logic and retiring the XML renderer after the Jetpack Compose replacement went live.

I built a Java/Kotlin event client for DIRECTV’s migration from Adobe Analytics to AWS Kinesis, enabling parallel reporting and staged validation. I also led client-side Netflix and Apple TV+ subscription activation, including a remotely configurable framework for adding providers.

As second-in-command to the development lead, I run the team during lead absences and contribute to planning and architecture discussions. In independent work, I built and deployed more than 100 websites and web applications; I also build and run ComedyBuff, an audio streaming app for stand-up comedy.
