Backend & Distributed Systems Engineer with experience building production systems using TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, DuckDB, and Rust. Skilled in designing scalable backend services, data pipelines, event-driven architectures, API boundaries, and high-throughput systems, with a strong focus on correctness, reliability, and performance.

For the past several years, I’ve worked across backend engineering, distributed systems, data infrastructure, and full-stack development, taking end-to-end ownership of services and features running in production. At Relativity Invest, I build financial-data infrastructure involving identity resolution, provenance, Kafka-based workflows, PostgreSQL, and analytical systems using DuckDB and Parquet, including reducing custom-range query times from 8–22 seconds to under 600ms.

Previously, at Wissenschaft Inc., I designed and optimized backend services using TypeScript, Express, gRPC, Kafka, and PostgreSQL, working on authentication, authorization, database performance, caching, batching, and data integrity. I also worked as a full-stack developer at Global Diary, building and integrating backend and frontend features across subscriptions, authentication, reporting, news, and events for a platform serving thousands of users.

I’m strongest in systems where correctness under failure matters—designing reliable service boundaries, handling asynchronous workflows, maintaining data integrity, improving observability, and building systems that remain dependable as scale and complexity increase.
