Provided evidence-based nursing care and patient education that improved recovery and boosted patient satisfaction. Streamlined ward operations to reduce care delays, strengthened follow-up to reduce readmission risks, and led structured handovers while mentoring junior nurses.

Assisted with nursing assessments and accurate administration of oral, IV, and IM medications under supervision, including pre- and post-operative care and vital-sign monitoring. Managed patients with chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, hypertension) and supported health promotion, family planning device assistance, mother-baby care, emergency procedures, and referrals/ambulance coordination.

Provided care for common illnesses (malaria, respiratory infections, and diarrheal diseases) and assisted with wound dressing changes and minor procedures. Monitored child growth using growth charts and MUAC, delivered health talks on hygiene, nutrition, malaria prevention, and HIV/AIDS, and supported outreach/home visits with outpatient and maternal-child records management using IMCI tools.

Supported psychiatric ward care by performing supervised mental status examinations and documenting behavioral patterns, mood, affect, and thought processes. Assisted with group therapy and occupational/recreational activities, supported ADLs, and helped de-escalate agitated patients using non-violent crisis intervention while maintaining safety protocols and observing counseling sessions.

Supported neonatal and maternal care by assisting with vaginal examinations and using partograph to monitor labour progress. Conducted Apgar scoring, supported immediate newborn care (drying, warming, cord care), assisted with vitamin K administration and immunizations (BCG, OPV), and provided maternal education on non-pharmacological pain relief and exclusive breastfeeding.

Collected data from 300+ respondents with a 95% field-survey completion rate, supporting field surveys and interviews and leading community engagement to improve participation. Moderated 10+ FGDs and KIIs, supervised enumerators, and contributed to coding/interpretation in SPSS/Excel and report writing for policy/program design.

Completed professional training in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN) through Kenya Medical Training College.

Earned a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Communication from The University of Nairobi, strengthening skills for community engagement and health education.
