Registered Nurse with community health training, skilled in patient education, clinical care, and field research.
What I'm looking for
I’m a dedicated Registered Nurse trained in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN), with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Communication. I bring a strong blend of social science insight, patient-centered clinical skills, and community engagement to deliver both healthcare and public health education.
In my current role at Avenue Hospital, I focus on evidence-based care and clear patient education—improving patient recovery and satisfaction. I’ve also streamlined ward operations to reduce care delays, identified care gaps to strengthen follow-up and reduce readmission risks, and improved team coordination through structured handovers while supporting and mentoring junior nurses.
Earlier, as a Trainee Nurse at Iten County Referral Hospital and as a Student Nurse across multiple facilities, I administered oral/IV/IM medications under supervision, supported emergency and trauma care, and managed chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension. I also delivered family planning and mother-baby education (including exclusive breastfeeding support), applied tools like MUAC/growth charts and the IMCI chart booklet, and used partograph monitoring in maternal care—alongside field research work where I collected data from 300+ respondents and supported analysis using SPSS and Excel.
