What I'm looking for

I’m interested in pursuing a PhD in Europe and developing a research career in international politics or regional studies.

At Japan Foreign Trade Council, Inc., I research international affairs, overseas safety, labor policy, and business conditions for member companies. I monitor government and other public and private sources, prepare reports, and support communication between corporate members and government stakeholders.

At Hosei University Graduate School, I analyzed EU sanctions after Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine, examining how long-term energy and trade dependencies shaped Germany, Italy, and Austria’s initial positions. I’m especially interested in Central and Eastern Europe, the Baltic region, and the Black Sea region.
