Coordinates a peer tutoring program of 80+ student tutors serving learners across pre-clinical and clinical curricula. Recruits, trains, and mentors student tutors in evidence-based pedagogical strategies and learner-centered facilitation, and serves as primary administrative liaison.

Assists students with developing better studying habits, approaches to classes, and studying schedules. Helps to raise participant grades by an average of 25% and works alongside professors to focus curriculum on individual students’ needs.

Engages in a longitudinal program to enhance knowledge of healthcare for underserved populations, with a clinical focus on transgender and gender-diverse patients. Participates in grand rounds and lectures on topics regarding the lived experience and care of medically underserved populations.

Supervised the production of annual literary publications and monthly artistic features. Organized and presented submission data across both publications on a bi-monthly basis, managed the budget, and built strategic relationships with contributors and publications.

Coordinated class schedules, service opportunities, and speaker invitations to create student events focused on mental health advocacy within Richmond. Developed new and existing community partnerships.

Collaborated with wider pride organizations of the VCU Health system to improve equity for LGBT+ students and members of the community. Developed lecture series to fill gaps in curriculum education on LGBT+ health care and advocacy.

Documented medical history, care plan, and orders of over 2000 patients using EPIC. Monitored patient medical charts, investigated data discrepancies, and assisted physicians in accessing test results and medical history documents.

Responded to emergency needs of students, such as financial concerns or commodity needs. Served as primary point-of-contact for all 160 first generation, limited income students enrolled in Johns Hopkins’s Center for Student Success programs and developed programs for book loans and tutoring.

Connected with patients at Comprehensive Care Practice to assist with accessing resources for food, transportation, and other social determinants of health. Used motivational interviewing techniques to assist patients with determining their priorities and needs, and maintained a list of available resources.

Wrote over 20 mysteries and manuscripts for a weekly Sherlock Holmes game letter subscription. Guided authors in improving writing style, game sense, and effectiveness, and maintained and edited all scripts and letters.
