What I'm looking for

I am looking for an entry-level role building and deploying computer vision/ML systems on collaborative teams, with mentorship and opportunities for research and technical growth.

I am a recent Computer Science graduate specializing in computer vision and machine learning, eager to apply academic knowledge to real-world challenges.

During my time as a Computer Vision Research Assistant at the University of Nairobi AI Lab, I helped develop algorithms for autonomous navigation, improved object detection in low-light conditions, and contributed to research on efficient 3D object reconstruction from 2D images.

My projects include a real-time facial emotion recognition system (92% accuracy on FER-2013) implemented as a Flask web app, and a YOLO + TensorFlow traffic sign detection system (95% real-time accuracy) trained on the German Traffic Sign Recognition Benchmark.

I am skilled in Python, OpenCV, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, and supporting tools like Git, Docker, and Linux, and I seek to join a team where I can build reliable, deployable computer vision systems and continue growing as a researcher-engineer.
