Veecky Muthee

I’m a recent BSc Mathematics & Physics graduate with hands-on experience supporting research projects and developing web-based and AI systems. I’ve worked on building an automated malaria diagnosis system using image processing and machine learning.

In my Research Assistant (Internship / Industrial Attachment), I assisted with laboratory research and experiment preparation, and helped prepare and label microscopy image datasets for system testing. I supported image processing and basic model training using Python, and helped test automated results against manual diagnosis while documenting procedures and observations.

Through my research project experience, I contributed to an automated diagnostic tool for detecting malaria parasites in blood sample images. I supported dataset preparation, image labeling, preprocessing, and performance evaluation, gaining practical experience with Python and TensorFlow while helping build a working prototype under supervision.

Alongside research, I build practical systems: an AI-Based Question Generation System using generative AI APIs with PHP and MySQL, an Automated Student Assessment and Marking System using Node.js and API integration, and an Online Examination Management Platform with secure data storage and administrative control features. I bring analytical problem solving, attention to detail, technical documentation, and a collaborative, experimentation-driven mindset.
