Director and former U.S. Coast Guard officer specializing in port preparedness, training, and program leadership for measurable results.
What I'm looking for
I’m a current federal employee and retired U.S. Coast Guard officer with years of multi-faceted operations, human performance, training, and leadership development program management experience. I “think globally while acting locally,” transforming strategic initiatives into measurable results.
In my current role as Director for the South Atlantic and North Atlantic Gateway Offices, I serve as an authoritative resource on the Marine Transportation System, including ports and waterways, harbor operations, and the development of the offshore wind industry. I provide technical advice on port and intermodal transportation management and port preparedness, and I’m a subject matter expert on DOT federal grant and loan programs supporting port infrastructure, marine highway, and vessel loan programs.
Previously, I led leadership development as Commanding Officer (Director), executing 22 courses and impacting 8,000 students annually while building innovative blended learning to grow capacity and reduce costs. Earlier leadership roles included program management for test and evaluation and executing major search and rescue, homeland security, and port operations—along with ROI evaluation recognized with a national award.
