@teresakemuntonyanumb
I am a compassionate Nursing Officer specializing in pediatric, mental health, and community-based care.
What I'm looking for
I am a compassionate Nursing Officer trained with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, focused on pediatric, mental health, and school-age populations. I combine clinical assessment, emergency response and health education to promote safety and wellbeing for children and adolescents.
During clinical internships at Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral & Research Hospital (Aug 2024–Feb 2025), Kiambu County Referral Hospital (Jan–Jul 2025) and Mathari National Teaching & Referral Hospital (July–Aug 2025) I delivered care across medical-surgical, ICU, casualty, maternity, and psychiatric settings. I have hands-on experience with cardiac resuscitation, partograph-led labour management, maternal and neonatal resuscitation, specimen collection, and psychiatric crisis intervention. I also led ward management duties, participated in treatment planning and mentored students.
My community and home-based work includes vaccination campaigns, child health clinics, family planning, chronic disease management, wound care and PEG feeding, with a strong emphasis on health promotion and confidentiality. I hold BLS and ACLS certifications and seek roles that leverage my emergency-care skills, community outreach experience, and commitment to preventive child health.
