Tegveer Uppal
@tegveeruppal
I build evidence-based health economic analyses that inform public policy decisions.
What I'm looking for
I've advised the New Mexico Legislative Finance Committee through four policy briefs, translating peer-reviewed evidence, legislation, and budget-impact estimates into scored decisions on health policy options. As a federal contractor at the CDC, I led research on policy effects, cost evaluations, and causal difference-in-differences analyses using R.
My work spans health economics, health disparities, and health services epidemiology, including published diabetes research and grant-funded projects at Emory. I've also led evaluations, managed research teams, automated dataset extraction with Python, and communicated complex policy findings to government stakeholders and public audiences.
