Luke Barry
@lukebarry
Health economist and postdoctoral researcher specializing in causal inference and policy evaluation.
What I'm looking for
I am a health economist and postdoctoral fellow applying causal inference, decision modeling, and systems science to evaluate costs, effects, and disparities in chronic disease. My work spans asthma, diabetes, chronic kidney disease, dementia, stress-related conditions, and quality-of-life measurement.
I have led and published simulation and cost-effectiveness analyses, umbrella reviews, and empirical studies that informed policy questions such as Medicaid expansion and pricing policies for food and beverages. Recent outputs include a Milbank Quarterly paper and multiple first-authored publications in PLOS One, Obesity Reviews, Nutrition Reviews, and journals in respiratory and gerontology research.
I mentor students, teach advanced health economic methods, review for leading journals, and seek opportunities to translate rigorous methods into policy-relevant insights that improve equity and population health.
