What I'm looking for

I'm seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant role where I can apply my haematology knowledge and practical laboratory skills to accurate, efficient testing and high standards of patient care.

I've completed an MSc in Haematology and Transfusion Science at Manchester Metropolitan University, earning a Merit. My final research project investigated HDAC4 PROTACs as a novel antithrombotic therapy and their effects on platelet activity.

I bring practical experience in platelet isolation, flow cytometry, Western blotting, sterile sample handling, SPSS analysis, and scientific data presentation. I work carefully with laboratory safety and ethical protocols and am committed to accurate, efficient testing that supports patient care.

Through therapeutic care volunteering at The James Cook University Hospital and clinical-environment cleaning work at Fishers Cleaning Services, I've also developed a strong awareness of patient support, hygiene, infection control, and teamwork. I'm seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant role where I can contribute my academic knowledge and practical laboratory skills.
