I’m an MSc Biomedical Science graduate and Licentiate Member of the IBMS, bringing hands-on NHS Medical Laboratory Assistant/Practitioner experience in Blood Sciences alongside clear, evidence-based medical/scientific writing. I’m known for safe, reliable laboratory practice, sharp attention to detail, and communication that supports patients and colleagues.

Currently at Dorset County hospital NHS Foundation Trust, I work in Blood Sciences to ensure accurate specimen reception and registration, strong pre-analytical processing, and dependable technical support across Biochemistry, Haematology, Coagulation and Transfusion. I work within strict quality, safety and accreditation standards to help deliver reliable and timely pathology results for patient care.

Alongside laboratory work, I’ve worked as a Medical Article Writer for Klarity (remote), specialising in researching, writing and editing clear, accurate, evidence-based health content. I focus on translating complex clinical information into accessible articles for patients and healthcare professionals while meeting guidelines and deadlines.

Previously, I developed strong wet-lab and patient-facing experience as a Microbiology Laboratory Technician in water-testing labs (e.g., total coliforms, E. coli, plate counts; culture media/reagents; incubator and equipment operation) and as a Healthcare Assistant/Phlebotomist in a clinic (venepuncture, vital signs, sample labelling, infection control and confidentiality). My goal is to progress to HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist and contribute to high-quality, patient-centred diagnostic services.
