What I'm looking for

I’m looking for a role where I can build production-grade data pipelines and BI dashboards, then extend them with ML and LLM systems (RAG, evaluation, deployment-ready models), ideally in mission-driven environments using modern cloud data stacks.

I am a Data Scientist with a background in Biology and currently finishing a degree in Data Science and Machine Learning. My interdisciplinary profile allows me to approach data problems with both scientific rigor and technical depth — combining domain knowledge in life sciences with hands-on skills in ML engineering and AI.

Professionally, I have around 2 years of experience working on real-world data science projects. At ENAP (Brazil's National School of Public Administration), I developed and deployed a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system integrated with LLMs, built ETL pipelines using Apache Spark and Airflow, and tracked model performance with MLflow. The systems I contributed to serve over 600,000 civil servants across the Brazilian federal government.

I also worked on a data science project with Shopee Brazil, building machine learning models for customer behavior analysis on a dataset of over 4 million records using Python, scikit-learn, and SQL.

My technical stack includes Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow), SQL, Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, MLflow, Docker, Git, and cloud platforms. I have hands-on experience with LLM integration, prompt engineering, and RAG architectures in production.

I studied abroad at Mount Royal University in Calgary, Canada, which gave me direct exposure to Canadian academic and professional culture. I am fluent in English (TOEFL iBT: 98) and Portuguese (native).

Automated extraction of 50+ multi-sheet government salary documents into structured Excel workbooks using custom VBA macros, eliminating days of manual work per batch. Built ETL/ELT pipelines integrating payroll and administrative data and implemented validation/cleaning routines to reduce inconsistencies for downstream BI dashboards.
