Tara Harpool

I am a dedicated human services professional with extensive experience in behavior management and counseling within school and community settings. I have worked with children and families to support behavioral interventions and foster positive outcomes.

Since 2013 I have served as a behavior management assistant/teacher with the North Kingstown School Department, applying hands-on behavior strategies and collaborating with educators and families. Previously, I worked as a Mental Health/Substance Abuse Counselor at SSTAR from 2008 to 2013, providing counseling and support for individuals facing mental health and substance-related challenges.

I hold an Associate's degree in Human Services from the Community College of Rhode Island and am completing a Bachelor's degree in Health and Human Services at Western Governors University, with one course remaining. I leverage learning technology and tools such as Adobe Captivate to support program delivery and training.

I maintain relevant certifications including CPR and a valid driver’s license, and I am authorized to work in the U.S. I seek roles where I can apply my counseling background, behavior management expertise, and instructional technology skills to support clients and educational teams.
