Tahleho Paki

I’m a highly motivated fourth-year BSc (Hons) Computing student at Botho University, expected to graduate in August 2028, and I’ve received the Dean's Award for Academic Excellence for two consecutive semesters. I build on a strong foundation in networking, cybersecurity, software development, Linux administration, and IT support through academic projects, self-directed learning, and practical experience. During my IT Intern role, I troubleshot hardware and software issues, maintained routers and switches, and improved IT service availability by reducing downtime.

I’m especially drawn to telecommunications and real-world networking challenges, which is reflected in my Cisco Packet Tracer enterprise network work: I designed a 4-site network, implemented inter-VLAN routing, configured OSPF Area 0 with MD5 authentication, deployed site-to-site IPSec VPN, and centralized DHCP relay, DNS, and RADIUS AAA. I also applied network security controls like DHCP Snooping, Dynamic ARP Inspection, port security, ACLs, and firewall policies, and I implemented WLC-managed wireless with WPA2-Enterprise. Alongside networking, I develop clean, user-focused applications (including a responsive portfolio built with React and TypeScript), and I follow a service-oriented, well-documented, continuously learning approach to problem-solving.
