Subhajit Gorai

I am a self-taught mobile developer who builds and publishes cross-platform and native Android apps, focused on privacy-first on-device AI and performance-optimized mobile experiences.

I design and ship apps using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, React Native and TypeScript, and have implemented on-device LLM inference with llama.cpp, advanced OCR pipelines, and reliable background model downloads. I maintain repositories and published builds that demonstrate production-ready engineering and attention to UX.

Through internships I rebuilt core components for a React Native AI health app, developed an on-device Java IDE with compiler integration, and contributed to an ML system that predicted student performance with 79% accuracy. I prioritize runtime permissions, notification/background service optimizations, and performance tuning.

I seek to advance privacy-first mobile AI and polished UX in small, product-driven teams where I can take ownership, learn from experienced engineers, and turn prototypes into published apps. I bring curiosity, hands-on problem solving and a track record of shipping end-to-end mobile features.
