Steve Fall
@stevefall
I coordinate 911 communications, dispatcher training, and emergency medical dispatch instruction backed by decades of field response experience.
What I'm looking for
I'm currently a Dispatcher/Operator, Training Coordinator, and APCO Emergency Medical Dispatch Instructor at Decatur County E-911, handling emergency communications and dispatching law enforcement, fire, and EMS resources.
I maintain training and certification records, track renewals, identify continuing-education needs, and train new dispatchers in Emergency Medical Dispatch protocols. I've trained four new dispatchers through the full course and one through reciprocity training.
Before returning to Decatur County 911, I spent more than two decades at American Ordnance as a Lead Firefighter/EMT, responding to fire, hazardous materials, rescue, and medical emergencies. I also supported emergency planning, inspections, safety operations, equipment maintenance, scheduling, and shift supervision.
My career began in volunteer firefighting and has included dispatch, law enforcement support, EMS, and field response. Having worked on both sides of the radio, I bring practical perspective to emergency communications, training, technology, GIS and mapping, and public safety teamwork.
