At Kenyatta University, I led the development of a net carbon-negative stabilized earthen construction block for low-income housing in Africa. I conducted soil analysis and engineering tests, then designed and built a sample structure for endurance testing.
As Project Engineer on a 3-Bedroom Maisonette in Nyandarua, I supervised structural construction and managed day-to-day site operations. I prepared Bills of Quantities, controlled resource allocation, and monitored reinforcement quality.
On a 5-Bedroom Maisonette project in Kiambu, I oversaw structural works and coordinated construction activities. I prepared engineering drawings and Bills of Quantities, managed budgets, and coordinated material procurement and delivery.
At IOTA Engineering and Construction Limited and Kenya Urban Roads Authority, I prepared structural drawings and reports, carried out site checks, and conducted soil and construction-material tests. My project work also includes a recycled-plastic pet shelter, an e-bike, and a mobile application to reduce paper use in driving schools.
