@makiiniroges
Civil and structural engineer focused on safe, sustainable infrastructure delivery.
What I'm looking for
I’m a dynamic, results-focused civil and structural engineer with a solid academic background and a comprehensive understanding of structural design, analysis, and construction methods. I’m passionate about sustainable design and improving urban infrastructure while minimizing environmental impact.
In my graduate engineer internship, I conducted field geotechnical surveys (including Standard Penetration Tests and Earth Resistivity Tests) for tower locations along an OHL transmission line. I supervised site activities to ensure construction adhered to design plans, specifications, and engineering standards.
I’ve also worked as a Roads Inspector with Kenya Urban Roads Authority, contributing to monthly site meetings, progress reporting, and the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BoQ). I supported design reviews for culverts, drains, and soil pitching, while ensuring work aligned with prescribed standards and specifications.
I strengthen my practice with tools like Microsoft Office Suite and engineering software such as Autodesk and Tekla platforms. Through training and professional engagement, including FIDIC construction contract management, I focus on clear communication, quality control/assurance, and disciplined project documentation.
