What I'm looking for
I am an experienced educational therapist with a passion for nurturing growth in students, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds and neurodivergent learners. My journey in education has been shaped by my formal training in English and Psychology, which has equipped me with the skills to develop individualized lesson plans that cater to each student's unique needs. At the Center for Learning, I successfully implemented phonics and Orton-Gillingham reading programs, fostering an environment where students can thrive academically and personally.
Throughout my career, I have consistently sought to inspire confidence in my students. By conducting one-on-one sessions and analyzing student growth through monthly assessments, I ensure that each learner receives the support they need to succeed. My experience as an assistant teacher and youth counselor has further honed my ability to create engaging learning experiences, while my role as a writing consultant allowed me to empower students with the literary techniques necessary for their academic success. I am dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of my students and am always eager to learn and grow in my profession.
