What I'm looking for
I am a dedicated Special Education Teacher with a strong commitment to unlocking the potential of my students by building on their unique strengths and addressing their individual needs. With a Master’s degree in Literacy from the University at Albany and a Bachelor’s degree in Inclusive Elementary and Special Education from Syracuse University, I have developed a solid foundation in educational practices that cater to diverse learning styles.
In my current role as a Learning Specialist at York Preparatory School, I coach middle and high school students with language-based learning disabilities and ADHD, equipping them with essential strategies for success in a mainstream setting. My experience includes acting as a case manager, collaborating with parents and faculty to ensure that each student receives the support they need to thrive academically and socially. Previously, I have worked in various educational settings, implementing evidence-based programs and differentiated instruction to foster independence and confidence in my students.
