I am a results-driven Stakeholder Engagement and Social Performance Specialist with over 15 years of experience across the extractives, infrastructure, and renewable energy sectors across Southern Africa. I design and execute stakeholder engagement plans that strengthen reputation and support informed decision-making.
My work focuses on stakeholder mapping and influence analysis, aligning engagement strategies with business objectives, and producing compelling internal and external communications. I have managed crisis communications to protect organizational reputation while balancing diverse stakeholder interests through trust-building and effective messaging.
In my current role, I lead stakeholder engagement and social performance initiatives for mining, infrastructure, and renewable energy projects across South Africa. I have designed stakeholder engagement plans that supported successful Environmental Authorisations and delivered strategic advice on stakeholder issues and reputation management.
Previously, as a Group Social Performance Specialist at Anglo American Plc, I supported implementation of the Social Management System across Southern Africa, advising De Beers and Anglo sites on stakeholder engagement, accountability mechanisms, and risk management. Earlier, I led public participation and social impact assessments for major infrastructure and mining projects across South Africa and Zimbabwe, including work that reduced project conflict through transparent community engagement.
