What I'm looking for
I am a passionate educator with extensive experience in creating engaging and tactile lessons across various academic subjects. My journey began with a focus on early childhood education, where I developed a strong foundation in the Common Core Standards and GLCEs. I have had the privilege of working with diverse student populations, including Ukrainian refugee ELL students, and I am committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment that supports all learners.
Throughout my career, I have consistently differentiated instruction based on individual student needs, utilizing formative assessments and teacher observations to guide my teaching methodology. My experience spans from kindergarten to middle school, where I have implemented innovative teaching strategies such as readers and writers workshop methodology and visual thinking strategies. I believe in the power of collaboration and have worked closely with colleagues to enhance curriculum development and student engagement.
In addition to my teaching experience, I am certified in mental health and trauma-informed practices, which informs my approach to education. I am dedicated to not only teaching academic content but also nurturing the social-emotional development of my students. I am excited to continue my journey in education, seeking opportunities that allow me to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners.
