ShaTarria Davis
@shatarriadavis
Experienced labor and litigation attorney focused on tenant and employment law.
What I'm looking for
I am an experienced attorney with a strong background in labor relations, tenant litigation, and public defense, sworn into the Florida Bar in September 2018. My practice spans advising executive leadership on labor and employment compliance to representing renters and indigent clients in state court litigation.
In my current role as Senior Labor Relations Specialist, I advise leadership on evolving labor and employment laws, interpret and enforce collective bargaining agreements, partner with counsel on EEOC matters, and led the development of an electronic accommodation process and a three-part educational series for organizational leaders.
Previously, as a Staff Attorney in a Tenant’s Rights Unit, I handled motion practice through trial, pursued affirmative suits under Florida Chapter 83, represented tenants in administrative proceedings, led a tenant pro bono clinic, and conducted client intakes, home visits, workshops, and mediations.
Earlier experience as an Assistant Public Defender and Certified Legal Intern provided extensive courtroom and trial experience managing large caseloads, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, conducting depositions and client interviews, and trying cases under supervision — all of which strengthen my litigation and client-advocacy skills.
