Shamima Turabi

I’m a motivated IT graduate experienced in both hands-on development and project coordination. I delivered GenAI-powered backend solutions while supporting Agile workflows through bug tracking, quality assurance, and cross-functional collaboration.

As a Junior Project Manager at Nejoum Al Jazeera, I helped coordinate software development projects within an Agile workflow. I logged, prioritized, and tracked bugs and tasks using Jira, performed quality analysis to identify issues and improvement areas, and monitored progress to support on-time delivery.

I also bring a strong technical and teaching foundation. As a PASS Tutor (Programming) at Murdoch University, I supported students across successive trimesters, troubleshooting code, reinforcing programming concepts, and helping ensure course objectives were fulfilled through lab sessions and peer tutoring.

In my final-year project, I led the design and development of a GenAI-powered multilingual customer support chatbot. I built the backend using Python and MySQL, integrated AI-based intent recognition, added automated testing, and implemented multilingual support (English, Arabic, Urdu) using the Google Translation API—guided by technical research in NLP and Generative AI to deliver a functional prototype.
