I'm reviewing contemporary poetry submissions for Texas Review Press while supporting the Department of English at Sam Houston State University as a Graduate Assistant.
My MFA work in Creative Writing focuses on editorial practice, modern and contemporary poetry, critical literary theory, and allegorical frameworks. I deliver formal critiques on structure, voice, and craft, and support administrative, research, and instructional workflows.
As Historian and Chapter Officer for Sigma Tau Delta, I document chapter history, proceedings, member achievements, and departmental events. I also collaborate on campus outreach, literary events, and academic workshops.
Before returning to academia, I managed high-value client consultations and custom interior design solutions at La-Z-Boy, supported sales and operations at Dillard's, and maintained safety and order as a Correctional Officer with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. These roles strengthened my client relations, de-escalation, documentation, and leadership skills.
