Sergei Morozov
@sergeimorozov
Senior backend engineer specializing in Python and Go, building observability solutions and backend systems.
What I'm looking for
I’m a senior backend engineer experienced with Python and Go, currently working as an Observability Developer in Porto, Portugal. I build internal observability tools focused on visibility, reliability, and actionable telemetry.
In my current role at Five9, I develop new features and architectural solutions, building tools with Django and OpenTelemetry. I also work with core observability technologies like Loki and Grafana to support monitoring and troubleshooting.
Previously at REVOLUT, I worked for two years on systems for analyzing data in a data lake using Prometheus and Redis, supporting periodic sampling by fincrime analysts through a web UI workflow. I also maintained internal statistical systems using Python and Trino, and developed internal tools in Java.
Earlier roles include building backend services and microservices across cloud environments—auth services, billing-related APIs, and performance optimizations—using Python, Go, and Java. I’ve also developed systems in PHP, worked with financial crypto platforms in Python/Go, and supported security-focused malware analysis pipelines with job queues and virtualization tooling.
