Selina Douglas

I am a perinatal care specialist and certified clinical medical assistant with experience across doula, lactation, placenta services, and outpatient clinical and mental health support. I bring hands-on skills in patient care, clinical procedures, and client education.

I am professionally trained in traditional and contemporary placenta preparation methods including encapsulation, tinctures, salves, and other postpartum remedies, and I follow OSHA-compliant bloodborne pathogen and food-grade safety protocols. I provide trauma-informed, culturally sensitive postpartum care and clear documentation to support client trust and wellbeing.

In clinical roles I interview patients, take and record vital signs, operate EKG and diagnostic equipment, give injections, perform routine laboratory tests, manage inventory, and maintain medical records in EHR/EMR systems. I have provided breastfeeding and lactation education, conducted postpartum visits, and handled medical billing with Medicaid and Tricare while maintaining compliance with clinic and regulatory requirements.

I hold CCMA certification and additional training in lactation education, postpartum nutrition, and full-spectrum doula care. I am committed to supporting postpartum wellness through education, emotional support, mental health support, and practical clinical skills, and I seek opportunities where I can contribute to high-quality, family-centered care.
