At SMA Europe, I support communications and marketing across projects, campaigns, programmes, events, and community initiatives. I plan and publish social media content, create accessible written and visual materials, and translate scientific, medical, research, and advocacy information for different audiences.
As a Research Intern on Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf’s ALHEA Language Attrition Project, I contributed to research involving native Spanish speakers living in Germany. I organized files, supported data management and verification, prepared reports and a final research paper, and presented findings in a colloquium.
My translation work includes certified Turkish-Russian and Russian-Turkish documents at Kayseri 9th Notary Public, as well as medical, scientific, diplomatic, and legal material. For the Konyaaltı International Film Festival, I supported translation, writing, and production, while providing disability-rights and accessibility guidance.
Patient advocacy is also part of my work: I’m a Youth Group Leader with the SMA Europe Youth Group and an Alternate Board Member at KASDER. I launched a volunteer-led WhatsApp accessibility project providing audiovisual learning support for visually disabled students, and I’m pursuing an MA in Linguistics at Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf, specializing in semantics and pragmatics.
