Sebastián Simbaña

I’m an Economist specialized in financial data analytics, with hands-on experience across capital markets, treasury operations, commercial management support, and ISO 9001:2015 quality systems. I focus on turning raw financial and market data into actionable insights that improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

In my current role at the Quito Stock Exchange, I built automated Power BI dashboards connected to SQL and R to enable real-time operational monitoring and reduce manual reporting time. I also developed financial models and statistical forecasting tools for bonds, equities, and fixed income instruments, implemented data governance protocols for dataset integrity, and delivered daily and monthly market reports that improve transparency and planning. Working with IT and compliance teams, I integrated and validated multi-source data to strengthen operational risk control.

I’ve also coordinated ISO 9001:2015 certification activities, achieved successful renewal after external audits, and standardized documentation across departments. Earlier, I produced stock market reports and automated statistical dashboards in Power BI and R, supported fixed income operations, and in my Banco Pichincha treasury internship I prepared and validated liquidity ratios and daily balance reports—experiences that shaped my operational discipline, clear communication, and reliability under quality standards.
