Sebastian Urdaneta
@sebastianurdaneta
Mechanical Design and Test Engineer at And Battery Aero who reduced battery assembly time by 30% with designed assembly jigs.
What I'm looking for
At And Battery Aero, I designed a battery-pack endplate testing setup for charge-discharge pressure cycles up to 5000 pounds of force, with a four-point deflection measurement system.
I led prototyping of laser-welded cell joints, reducing resistance by up to 70%. I also designed and implemented assembly jigs that reduced full-pack assembly time by 30%.
With the Stanford Solar Car Project, I co-led the team and led the battery and race subteam. I designed a 31S9P, 5.02KWh battery pack and its BMS connections and CAN protocols, along with a fiberglass Nomex enclosure designed to withstand 5g impact.
I’m seeking opportunities in bicycle design, fabrication, and testing. My hands-on experience also includes bicycle mechanics, welding, battery systems, and prototyping.
