I’m a Software Engineer focused on AI/ML and full-stack delivery, with hands-on work in NLP, Document AI, RAG systems, and neural machine translation for low-resource languages.

At Telsem Tech, I engineered production full-stack applications using Next.js and Node.js/Express, designing RESTful APIs and optimizing database schemas. I helped deliver zero-defect releases through code reviews, automated testing, and Agile practices.

During my Machine Translation internship at INSA, I built data processing and model training pipelines for Ethiopian language machine translation. I curated parallel corpora, trained Seq2Seq/Transformer models, and documented results for the research team while working to improve dataset quality and BLEU scores.

My projects reflect how I combine OCR/document understanding with robust AI workflows—such as a DONUT + PaddleOCR + Tesseract certificate analysis pipeline with duplicate, tampering, and forgery detection, and a RAG chatbot using OpenRouter + FAISS. I’m now seeking AI/ML and full-stack + AI roles in Japan, open to relocation with visa sponsorship.
