What I'm looking for
I am an aspiring journalist and lawyer, currently preparing to attend George Washington Law School in August 2025. My academic journey began at the College of William and Mary, where I earned a BA in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. I have a strong commitment to addressing societal issues, particularly forms of discrimination and abuse, and I am learning Korean, Mandarin, and Spanish.
Throughout my career, I have engaged in various writing and editing roles, focusing on social issues and policies. As a writer and commentator, I explore topics such as ableism, military colonialism, and cultural assimilation. My experience as a freelance fiction editor has allowed me to work closely with diverse writers, enhancing their narratives while fostering a supportive environment for growth.
In addition to my writing endeavors, I served as an Associate Editor for The Monitor, where I provide critical feedback on scholarly articles related to global affairs. My role as Outreach Chair for the Community Partnership for Adult Learners has further enriched my experience, as I create lessons and facilitate language learning for recent immigrants and refugees, promoting cultural exchange and understanding.
