Sam Yao
@samyao
Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer at Lalamove who led Driver product architecture and launched the Odoko OTP/SMS platform.
New ZealandWhat I'm looking for
At Lalamove Delivery, I led frontend architecture for Driver CRM and Growth systems, contributing to an 18% increase in conversion rates. I also developed a reusable right-to-left component framework for overseas expansion.
I drove the migration of selected legacy PHP/Laravel services to Node.js and built a shared SOA SDK integrating Apollo Config, SkyWalking tracing, and Consul service discovery. After responding to SMS toll fraud, I took ownership of Odoko and drove its rollout as a company-wide OTP/SMS platform.
At Tencent Cloud, I developed React modules for the CODING DevOps platform, helping reduce average enterprise build times by 40%. I’ve also built and launched Remote Arc, secure remote MCP infrastructure, and The Orion, a personal platform; I’m currently completing a Master of Information Technology at the University of Auckland and looking to contribute my experience to a New Zealand software engineering team.
