At Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), I designed and built 6 interactive Power BI dashboards for epidemiology and clinical trials. Research stakeholders used them to track disease trends and compliance KPIs, reducing manual reporting time by 35%.
I wrote SQL queries to build and validate data pipelines, reconciling figures against DHIS2 and resolving 14 discrepancies in participant metrics. I also defined and documented 8 health indicators in a single data model.
At KEMRI, I reviewed epidemiological reports for misleading chart designs, including truncated axes and inappropriate aggregations, and redesigned them to safeguard chart integrity. I presented insights to the Scientific Advisory Committee and led the institutional rollout.
At Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organisation (KALRO), I audited data validation workflows and used R and Python to clean and reconcile research datasets. My projects include predictive modeling for retail sales and hypertension risk, and a breast cancer survival model using explainable AI.
