Samson Owino

My work centers on Dholuo and the way Luo is naturally spoken in everyday Kenyan life. I bring native-level command of the language and a strong understanding of its expressions, conversational patterns, and cultural context.

I can distinguish natural spoken Luo from overly literal or machine-translated wording. I’m familiar with contemporary Luo usage among younger Kenyan speakers, as well as Sheng.

I’m interested in language-data work such as AI response evaluation, speech and text annotation, transcription, translation, and localization. I can also contribute to data collection and conversational-language review.

I communicate in English and Swahili and am currently studying for a Bachelor of Education (Science) at Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA). I’m comfortable using smartphones and online platforms for remote tasks, including repetitive language review and quality-assurance work.
