I've supported Vermont’s Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation by transitioning more than 2,000 roads to a Linear Referencing System and prioritizing road erosion impacts on water quality.
At Middlebury, I help more than 40 students use QGIS, R, spatial joins, geoprocessing workflows, map production, and statistical analysis. I’ve also evaluated Python programming assignments for approximately 100 computer science students.
My project work includes forest-loss change detection in Google Earth Engine, Random Forest land-cover classification with Landsat imagery, and research delineating U.S. megapolitan regions using Census and USDA data. I presented this research at the American Association of Geographers Annual Meeting.
