What I'm looking for

I’m looking to continue as a Consultant Psychiatrist—leading multidisciplinary care, delivering crisis-focused adult psychiatry, and advancing teaching and evidence-based research, including systematic review methodology, quality improvement, and clinical audits.

I’m a dedicated, academically accomplished medical doctor and Fellow in Psychiatry (FCPS) and Gold Medalist, with MBBS “with Honours” and distinctions in Surgery and ENT. I also hold MRCPsych Part A and Part B, strengthening my clinical practice with rigorous UK-aligned standards.

I build my work around evidence-based medicine and research, including my active role as a core member of the Cochrane Pakistan Research Group. I completed successful MRCPsych Paper A and B and have conducted five workshops on Cochrane methodology, meta analysis, and systematic review, with expertise in protocol writing and research methodology.

Clinically, I’ve worked across inpatient and outpatient psychiatry settings, providing structured psychiatric assessments, biopsychosocial formulation, and differential diagnosis. I lead treatment planning that integrates pharmacological and psychological approaches, including cognitive behavioural therapy, while performing structured suicide and self-harm risk assessments and safeguarding assessments.

As a Consultant Psychiatrist, I provide expert psychiatric assessment and treatment for patients with complex mental health needs, lead multidisciplinary teams, and run outpatient clinics and ward rounds. I also develop and deliver teaching and training programs for junior doctors and staff, and participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, morbidity meetings, and governance—guided by ethical and professional standards consistent with Good Medical Practice.
