Sajjad Ali

I’m a Mechanical Design Engineer with an MSc (Mechanical Engineering, Research) and over two years of combined academic and hands-on research experience. I focus on CAD modelling and finite element analysis to validate designs, optimize performance, and support data-driven engineering decisions.

In my current role as a Mechanical Design Engineer at TRAMIQ International, I design mechanical systems using CAD/CAM and FEA/FEM, then run system engineering and reliability analysis across the full product lifecycle. I collaborate closely with manufacturing and quality teams and prepare technical documentation to support production readiness. Previously, as a Graduate Research Assistant at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, I supported labs and simulation-based problem solving, assisted with technical documentation and mentoring, and guided student projects involving CAD/CAM modelling and engineering analysis.

I also bring process and reliability fundamentals from my trainee experience in Production & Process (Kiln department), where I applied lean manufacturing tools and analyzed mechanical downtime. My projects—from shock absorber and injection mould design to IoT-enabled extruder analytics and thermal/structural composite analysis—reflect how I translate research outcomes into practical, industry-oriented solutions.
