What I'm looking for

Seeking Software Engineering opportunities focused on backend systems, automation, applied AI, or robotics. I’m especially interested in engineering-driven startups where I can take ownership, solve technically challenging problems, and build reliable systems with real-world impact.

I’m a Computer Science & Engineering student at Punjab Engineering College, graduating in 2028, and I’m primarily interested in Software Engineering, Backend Systems, Applied AI, and Robotics.

I enjoy working on problems where the interesting part is not just writing code, but designing how the entire system should behave. One of my main projects is a deterministic, state-aware desktop workflow engine that treats the operating system as a non-deterministic environment: the system observes the current state, selects an appropriate interaction mechanism, executes an action, and verifies that the expected state was actually reached. I’ve worked across Java and Python on the execution, planning, and automation layers.

I’m also interested in robotics and intelligent systems, and have worked on projects involving line-following robots, robotic grippers, ROS2/Gazebo, and automation. More broadly, I like the intersection of software systems and AI where models or algorithms have to interact with real environments rather than simply produce an output.

I’m strongest in Java, Python, and C++, and I’m comfortable with data structures and algorithms, object-oriented design, backend development, and building systems from scratch. I’ve also worked with Docker, ROS2, Linux/WSL, and tools for desktop and UI automation.

Outside coursework, I actively participate in technical competitions and hackathons. I’ve placed first in PECathon, reached the college round of Smart India Hackathon, placed 4th at IIT Kanpur’s IARC Techkriti, and participated in the ARTPARK CodeForge Hackathon among 2500+ teams.

For internships and future roles, I’m particularly interested in backend/software engineering, systems, developer infrastructure, automation, robotics software, and applied AI. I’m happiest in environments where I can take ownership of a technically challenging problem, understand the underlying system, and build a robust solution rather than just implement isolated features.

Deterministic Desktop Workflow Engine

Jan 2025 - Jun 2026 (1 year 5 months)

Task Engine - Desktop Workflow Engine:
Built a deterministic, state-aware workflow execution engine for Windows automation using Java and Python. Designed an execution loop that observes system state, selects appropriate interaction mechanisms, executes actions, and verifies postconditions. Implemented workflow planning, failure handling, and reliable UI automation for multi-step tasks.

Adaptive Onboarding Engine

Mar 2026 - Mar 2026 (0 months)

Contributed to a 7+ module AI pipeline for resume–JD alignment, generating structured skill profiles and personalized learning roadmaps. Implemented hybrid keyword and semantic skill extraction, analyzing 100+ skill signals to identify gaps against weighted job requirements. Worked on system integration, testing, and validation across diverse resume/JD samples.

Intelligent Data Extraction from Reports

Personal Project

Nov 2025 - Nov 2025 (0 months)

Designed an end-to-end Python pipeline for extracting structured data from business PDFs containing tables, charts, and text. Integrated a pretrained Detectron2 model for document layout detection and led system-flow integration across layout detection, chart processing, and data extraction components.

Intent Based File Search

Jun 2025 - Jul 2025 (1 month)

Built a Windows file search system in Java using Java NIO and Regex. Designed a rule-based intent parser to extract file types, temporal constraints, and name patterns from natural-language queries. Implemented recursive traversal, partial matching, and multi-factor relevance scoring using lexical similarity, metadata, and directory context.
