Saad Roustom
@saadroustom
Transportation engineer focused on traffic modeling, EV electrification, and sustainable mobility solutions.
What I'm looking for
I am a Transportation Engineer with a Master’s in Transportation Engineering and hands-on experience in traffic modeling, transportation planning, and vehicle electrification research. I have led projects at CanmetENERGY and contributed to Transport Canada–funded research on connectivity and automation.
My work centers on dynamic traffic assignment, micro-simulation, emissions modeling, and forecasting EV charging hotspots to inform infrastructure and policy. I program simulations and control strategies using Python and MATLAB and use tools such as Vissim, Emme, Dynameq, Synchro, ArcGIS, and EPA’s MOVES.
I collaborate with industry and government partners to deliver data-driven recommendations that improve traffic performance, reduce GHG emissions, and support fleet electrification and grid demand mitigation. I am dedicated to solving complex engineering challenges and advancing the transition to a net-zero transportation future.
