Seeking a challenging role in IT security

I am an Accomplished and certified IT professional with extensive management, project management and consulting experience. I have significant experience with information security risk management and cybersecurity technologies and strategy. I also am experienced in IT Governance, Compliance and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning. I have led multi-disciplined teams in achieving IT and Cyber Security efficiency.

In addition to having qualifications in IT. I also found it necessary to specialise in areas such as Cyber Security, Data Privacy, IT Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, protection architectures, disaster recovery, business continuity and incident response to meet current industry standards related to the increased complexity of IT environments. My vast work experience has also allowed me to develop proficiencies in managing successful IT projects to offer the best level of IT service in every organization I have worked for. I also believe that it is important to be leader who not only has broad knowledge of the various technical focus areas within IT, but who could also drive strategy and align it with the goals and priorities of the organization.

I am currently employed as the Cyber Security lead with a financial institution heading the cybersecurity function for the business. This is after spending twenty-one years in IT/Cyber Security at the Inland Revenue Division with a user base of 1,500. My former position also served as part of the core IT Management that gives overall direction to IT staff of eighty (80) personnel. I imparted strategic vision for information, cyber, physical, and operations security while guiding daily operations and policy implementation.

I work with several chapters of local and international non-profit organizations involved with Information Security, Assurance, Project Management, Fraud Examination and Business Continuity to make society safer by improving cyber security, productivity, efficiency and resilience of information systems.
