I’m a patent and trademark attorney specializing in high-tech IP prosecution and strategy.
What I'm looking for
I’m a Shareholder and Patent and Trademark Attorney, currently prosecuting and preparing patent and trademark applications before the United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO). My work centers on drafting, responding to USPTO office actions, and conducting examiner interviews for complex technology.
Across my roles at Calderon, Safran, & Wright PC, Sughrue Mion, PLLC, and Lee & Morse, P.C., I’ve supported major clients including IBM, GlobalFoundries, Kyndryl, Samsung, and others. I’ve helped advance IP in areas such as semiconductors, memory, communications, software and controller applications, electronics/electrical circuits, and mobile devices/smart phones.
I also bring a deep technical foundation from my M.S. in Systems Engineering (Engineering Management) and my B.S. in Electrical Engineering, plus early career experience leading hardware test station work for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF). That background strengthens how I approach claim scope, technical explanations, and patentability analysis.
Professional activities and presentations reflect my focus on evolving patent standards and business impact, including talks on functional claiming and software/business methods. I aim to deliver clear, defensible prosecution while aligning IP strategy with the technologies clients are building.
